Howdy y’all,
Welcome to The Dirt. Now, let’s see just what we are getting into here (thumbs through pages in a big book): The Dirt is a Texas land real estate blog. The Dirt recipe calls for a dash of finance and economics. Also add a tablespoon of news and a heaping spoonful of first-hand intelligence from land professionals in the trenches. Don’t forget to sprinkle in some history, geography, and ecology. Then pour on a few cups of comments and analysis to bring it all together. Preheat oven to 350 and bake for 15 minutes. Cover with powdered sugar.
Dang that sounds pretty tasty!
This is a (mostly) weekly newsletter about Texas Land Markets. Every week (mostly) I’ll post some stats on acreage property (properties greater than 10 acres) sales across the Great State of Texas as well as comment on land markets in general. I will also send out posts from time to time with thoughts and essays on anything that my warped brain can fold into the topic of Texas and real estate (which leaves a lot of room for interpretation to be sure).
I created this newsletter as a way to connect with clients and associates and to ensure that they stay informed about real estate trends and news. But in addition to being a land and ranch Realtor (and a pretty dang good one if I say so myself1) who spreads the gospel of Texas land to all who will listen, I am also a writer and dry heave at the thought of being just another boring, cliche, hackneyed real estate blog. So you shan’t see me writing in sterile, professional prose. No, folks, my words will be floral and chalk-full of similes and metaphors. Like walking across a spring pasture, green and smelling of fresh cut grass, manure, and wildflowers. My sincere hope is that you find the information in this newsletter helpful. Maybe even informative. Barring those, perhaps entertaining. If none of the above then I might go back to building fence and digging holes.
Thanks for reading. Thanks for subscribing. Mostly thanks for your time.
Dustin
And I do say do myself.
